This amazing Pokémon GO journey …

We are that family, you know the one you see walking and laughing together with our phones in hand. Sharing an experience, and the benefits of our Pokémon GO time are fantabulous. We are out there in the world walking, laughing, and enjoying one another’s company. These are the family moments that bond us, the memories we are making are truly priceless.

Our journey with this app began in the summer of 2016, and yes I am happy to admit we are still playing.  There was a lot of hype about an immersive game featuring characters that we have loved for years.   Would an augmented reality game that was free for both Android and IOS devices be something that could be enjoyed?  Could Niantic do justice to our beloved Nintendo/Pokémon characters? How would it all work?

Pokémon GO uses the GPS on your smartphone to find Pokémon in the real world.  Turn the app on, and go about your normal routine or plan for an outing of Poké walking, your phone will let you know when a Pokémon has spawned nearby. Using your touch screen on your device you’ll throw a Poké Ball to capture the Pokémon.  Rinse and repeat, and you level up and gain experience as well as adding amazing Pokémon to your Pokémon Index.

Along your journey you will run into PokéStops where you will receive supplies, eggs to hatch, PokéBalls , and other items. Poke Stops can be found almost anywhere, libraries, parks, monuments and key buildings to your city are just a few hot spots.

There are so many things to touch base on during your journey so I will make it quick-

Level 5 – your world changes as you are able to go to gyms

Gyms – battles, PokéStops and Raids!!

Pick your Team – who will you represent Valor (red) – Mystic (blue) –   Instinct (yellow)

Raids – trainers working with other trainers to take down the raid boss

Gym Battle – Trainers can battle the Pokémon of rival teams for control of the Gym

Evolution- Pokémon that can evolve use certain amounts of candy or other items

This app has regular updates that expand the game, between community days, new region releases and so much more content added, it truly makes it a win win for all.  We added the Pokémon Go Plus accessory as well as it enhances our experience and it makes catching Pokémon even easier.
