The Top 5 Free Educational Apps Must Haves
As a mom I must admit I want my kids to do well in school. Things they bring home to work on can be out of my league. Therefor I can totally get lost on how to help them. The following Apps are true must haves to help with homework! The best part is they are all free educational apps!
So here are our suggestions : Free Educational Apps, from one Mom to another
Khan Academy – This amazing app offers you live videos and follow up quizzes to check on comprehension, I was happy to have this Free Educational app in our arsenal especially as we tackled linear equations.
Photomath – Yes!! How amazing is it to scan with your phone camera the math problem you are working on. Giving the user step by steps on how to solve the problem and shows the answer. This is a go to in my house. When we check our answers and helps me “remember” the steps that need to be taken to get the solution. This Free Educational App totally needs to be in your arsenal.
Socratic – This Totally Free Educational App does it all. Using your device you snap the problem and it offers explanations, videos and step by steps. This is truly an amazing homework helper! It covers Math, Science, History, English and more.
SparkNotes – This Free Educational App comes with a 30 day trial, so it gives you a chance to check out all the amazing information on Literature at your fingertips. Having a study guide at your fingertips is truly priceless. Yes it has a subscription price after the trial, but if you find it worth it then the 0.99 a month or 4.99 a year is not bad at all.
DuoLingo– There is a reason this is one of Apples best Free Educational Apps, learning a new language has become fun and engaging. Amazing Mini-games check your progress on reading, writing and speaking the language you are working on. This is one of the boys favorites to compete against each other, which to me as a mom makes this app a WINNER!
Apps are totally the way to go, such versatility for fun and learning. Make sure you have your Itunes Cards loaded up!
