Can this mom stream on Twitch?

So I will admit life has been crazy, in a really good way. We did a house remodel. Closed the boutique. The boys are getting older, which lead to streaming.
Yes I wrote streaming, and as a person who loves gaming with the kids and on my own, I wondered. Can a mom stream on Twitch?

First of all yes I know, a mom streamer? What would one stream? Where does one start? With so many questions, as a mom I turned to my oldest for help. Since he is the one who encouraged this journey obviously I figured he could help me out. As a result of those conversations, I envisioned tons of things were needed to make this happen. Somehow one gets the idea to just go with what I had available and see what would happen.

Where do I start?

Setting up a twitch account was the easiest thing ever. Linked Amazon account with the Twitch account and viola first step done. Did you know that being an Amazon Prime member has a benefit (*a free subscription a month).

The first stream was on the PS4. Having a camera was key and the system made it easy to set up a live stream.

As one might guess there is a lot more to this. then just playing a game and calling it streaming . I worked with something I thought would give me joy to play. Looking through our collection of PS4 games, I went with Kingdom Hearts a Disney character game that had been played for years. Unfortunately it was not really my genre and it became more frustrating to stream a game I truly sucked at.

Finally I decided I would just do it my way. Found a game that would play and stream on my CPU and learn the basics of OBS. I had a camera from my Facebook live days and used that to stream a favorite game… Hearthstone.

The love of getting to know others has been fantabulous. I have gotten to know people from around the world. The community of twitch is amazing, and they welcomed this gaming loving mom with little tech skills into their fold~ .

Moreover when asked what I do… I get to say when I am playing… that I’m “working” lol.
